INTO THE FORTH DIMENSION THIS TIME

This weekend I have mostly been learning augmented reality.

What is Augmented Reality (AR) I hear nobody say!

Augmented reality (AR) is a field of computer research which deals with the combination of real-world and computer-generated data

Back at the start of January I found out who the new Dr Who would be after David Tennant and that evening got some quick graphics online of the new Doctor. Some of the ones I created ended up in newspapers and got a great reception online with the Dr Who fans. Soon after that I was told by my missus that SFX Magazine are running an illustration competition to 'Dress The New Doctor'.

So I had a good think and came up with a design which ended up winning the competition.

they printed it in FULL rather than zoom into the section with the character so all detail is gone, but it's there so I am happy.

MOSES REVISITED.jpg

I was in touch with my Agent (Advocate) today and they wanting all the cartoon artist style people and illustrators to create some new pieces for them to showcase for a BIG Childrens Book convention where they will be getting some BIG deals for some of us.

Soooo I went through my recent quick illustrations I have done in here and chose to give my recent MOSES MUST LIVE IN ASHFORD illustration a professional makeover...

The spring round of Spelthorne Council area forums has been cancelled.

The meetings between residents and councillors arranged for March 19 at Matthew Arnold School in Staines, March 31 in Stanwell village hall, April 8 at the Salvation Army Centre in Ashford and April 28 at St Paul's College in Sunbury have been axed due to lack of interest.

The council is considering ways to boost attendance and a recommendation will be presented to the executive committee at its meeting on Wednesday, March 18.

As you can see my my illustration, this will be a political styled entry... well you had camera headed bikers, a dog on a super poochie toilet and German speaking pigs... I have to do something serious from time to time or I end up being boring... don't worry, it's light hearted in places.

If you step outside you see shops and businesses closing down or empty shops with wooden windows due to the economy at the moment.

The news keeps telling us that it's the worse since records began and they will probably find ancient carvings from the dawn of man where things look better than now... probably not though come to think of it.

I thought I would have a go at illustrating another story from the local news here in Staines and pretty much the first story I saw on the website caught my eye.... I like it when that happens.

This story is about a lone avenger, a Cyborg, Death Defying Things and AMAZING tales of WONDER and AMAZEMENT. Well maybe not THAT exciting, but it does involve a man with a camera on his head.... but not in a Channel 4 Documentry kinda way!

Carry on reading to see the illustration and links to the ACTUAL story.

This Entry will self destruct if stored on a Windows Server.

I was going through the local news on this website in the small hours of this morning and saw a loverly little story about some local kids that won a competition with their rendition of '3 little pigs' ... in Latin.

I couldn't resist and had to have a o doing a cartoon about it.

Yet again the junction at the Ashford Hospital made it only possible for people with aqua lungs and biblical figures able to transverse.
