Brick walls being destroyed by kids in Sunbury

But due to a block not allowing officers to access the site from their computers, the police have had to pursue other means of investigation.

Spelthorne Neighbourhood acting Inspector Rebecca Kempster, said: "Over the past few weeks we have had a lot of criminal damage to walls, where they are being kicked in.

"We are talking about twenty offences in two weeks, and we think it could be a Facebook trend, although we are not sure, but we can't access the site, so we are trying to find another way to view it.

"They are doing thousands of pounds worth of damage, and as they are brick walls they must be doing it with a lot of force."

The incidents happened on consecutive Monday nights, on October 26 and 19, so police believe they are being committed by the same offenders, and although a wall was destroyed in Vicarage Road, Sunbury on Sunday (1), due to its distance from the other offences, it is not believed to be linked.

Inspector Kempster said: "The local officers are still carrying out enquiries."

The offenders responsible for the damage on October 19 are three youths described as being between 12 and 14, tall, of slim build, and riding bicycles.
