22910rsz_stpgun.jpgPOLICE in Spelthorne are playing it SMART in their battle against speeding drivers - by arming themselves with a new hi-tech speed gun.

Officers and Police Community Support Officers (PCSO) have been fully trained up in the use of the Ultralyte Laser and are already targeting motorists on the streets.

Surrey County Council and Ashord councillor Carol Coleman and Ian Beardsmore, of Sunbury Common and Ashford Common, backed the gun.
