Thirteen members of a Spelthorne gymnastics club have gotten through to the next round of popular ITV show Britain's Got Talent.

Spelbound, made up of 13 members of Ashford's Spelthorne Gymnastics club, appeared on the show on Saturday (April 24) and were voted through by judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, and Piers Morgan.

Weekly story times will begin at Ashford Library on Tuesday May 4.

The event will then run every Tuesday from 3.45pm to 4.15pm at the Church Road library, which will be aimed at three to seven year olds.

The kids will also participate in games, as well as making things, and listening to stories.
The events are free.

Motorists are being warned to be on their guard after 10 thefts of catalytic converters in recent weeks in Runnymede Spelthorne and Elmbridge.

On Monday April 12, between 1.30-2.30pm, a thief targeted a blue Toyota parked in a car park in Stanwell Road, Ashford, stealing the catalytic converter while the owner was away.

An unknown criminal dropped a missile through the window of a couple's moving car over the weekend, causing a near fatal incident.

At around 1.30pm on Saturday (April 17), police officers were called to the A316 to reports that the windscreen of a car had been completely smashed because a large stone had been dropped off a pedestrian bridge over the road.

A charity social club for people with learning difficulties is looking for volunteer drivers to help get people to meetings.

The Penrose Club, based in Hengrove Hall, in Station Crescent, Ashford, has existed since 1966, but needs more minibus and private volunteer drivers because some people are not able to get to the weekly Tuesday night meetings.

Three people were taken to hospital with serious injuries after a two way crash in Ashford last night (Wednesday April 14).

Fire fighters from Staines and Sunbury were called to a suspicious fence fire on Sunday (11).

The crews were called to Woodthorpe Road, Ashford at 7.40pm, and took 25 minutes dosing the flames.
